I believe teaching is the most challenging and most rewarding job that exists. I believe this because I lived it for 13 years. There were days when my work was energizing and magical and others when I was more emotionally and physically exhausted than I ever thought possible. I got to work with some of the most amazing people. Teachers who were energetic, optimistic and funny. Students who were inspirational, impressive and so full of potential. Every day I had a chance to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
That’s also what I’m hoping to be able to do in my new role at Infinite Campus. I want to build a space meant to make teachers’ lives a little easier.
I left the classroom because this opportunity allows me to continue to work with students and teachers, but now I get to do it all over the country.
And I still get to work with teachers and kids. As part of my job as User Insights Advocate, I get to talk with teachers from all over the country, including you! If you have ideas to share or stories to tell, I want to know about it and I want to talk to you about it. I also get to work with students. I am still coaching cross country with the same team I’ve been coaching for about 10 years.
In addition to my job at Infinite Campus and coaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with family, exploring the outdoors, and running trail races and triathlons.
