Welcome to the Teachers on Campus blog!
I want this blog to be about you, the teachers. I taught for 13 years. I know there isn’t one best way to do things and that teaching styles and learning styles vary. So if there is an idea posted here that you know can be adapted to reach more students, by all means, use it as you see fit. I want this to be a place for teachers to share what they know and learn from each other.
This blog is intended to be a source of information, ideas and inspiration for teachers. It will include a variety of topics in K12 education in the US and give practical ways for teachers to incorporate new things in their classes. There will be a focus on Campus Learning, the teacher tools available through Infinite Campus, which are expanding quickly. The posts won’t exclusively be for those using Campus Learning, or even always rely on digital technology, but will include ideas most teachers could integrate into their practice.
Additionally, this blog will be a place to celebrate the great things teachers do. If you know a teacher who is doing something wonderful, I want to know about it! I might choose to feature your colleague in a future blog post and give them a little bit of recognition.
This blog isn’t going to be about me or even for me. I want this blog to be about you and for you. Regardless of whether you are a veteran teacher with lots of experience or a new teacher looking for ideas, I want this site to be helpful. Heck, you could be a veteran teacher who is struggling with something or a new teacher with tons of ideas – or anywhere in between – I want this site to be helpful and hopefully make your life a little easier.
