These are interesting times.
As more and more schools close their doors to curb the spread of COVID-19 and expect teachers to move lessons online, a new challenge emerges. Teachers need tools to assist in e-learning, and need to figure out how to use them.
To do our part, last Monday Infinite Campus offered licenses for the Campus Learning LMS to all Campus districts for free until the end of June 2020. This means your district’s Campus administrator has the ability to give you access to all features of Campus Learning immediately. Sorry, but since Infinite Campus always works through districts, we can’t give you access ourselves.
If you have never used Campus Learning before and are now being asked to learn it and continue teaching simultaneously, that’s a big ask. But it’s not as daunting as it may seem. Here are some resources to help.
There are four Study Guides available. Study Guides are online training for teachers. Each part has a Table of Contents allowing you to jump around to topics of interest. For those new to Campus Learning, Part 4 is specifically about Campus Learning tools.
Upcoming and recorded webinars
To help get teachers off and running, new webinars are being offered. Use this link to go directly to the information in Campus Community after you login. If you don’t have a CampusID, follow the prompts to generate one or to reset your password.
Teachers On Campus
This blog. The intended audience of this blog is teachers, so everything posted is written with teachers in mind. If you are searching specifically for information on Campus Learning, take a look at the Campus Learning category or tags. Most articles include lots of links to additional information as well.
campuslearning.com is another website designed specifically for teachers. There’s a section called Understand Campus where you can find information on any teacher tools in Infinite Campus. It’s limited to tools for teachers, so you won’t get bombarded with articles that aren’t relevant to you. If you suddenly have lots of new tools available to you, you can use the dropdown menu in the search to help you get started.
I hope we can all be back to normal soon. In the meantime, I will continue to post about any new training or resources that could be helpful at this time.
